This isn’t quite “inspired by” or “based off” the book, but my dad always used to read me “Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me” by Eric Carl, and I always loved it. This just kind of reminds me of him.
I’ve been feeling like my work has been less than satisfactory the past few times I uploaded, but I like this one.
I have another idea soon that I am really excited about shooting and getting the results I want from it.
I plan on shooting as soon as I can.
How do they get them in there?
No, the question is how do we get them out.
This was so hard to shoot. Every time I took a picture I had to jump over that huge puddle, and then get into position in less than 10 seconds. It was muddy cause it had just rained, and I was freeeezing, but it got done, and here’s the finished project!
I showed this to my mom and she said it wasn’t one of my best, and when I tried to make her think otherwise, she said: “You can’t expect to get everyone every time. I mean, you could show me a picture of a bowl of cherries and I’d say I love it, and someone else could say, no! Why don’t you take a picture of a person or something?”
I guess she’s right, but she might also be right about this not being one of my best pictures.
It’s up to you guys, what do you think?

I LOVE reading. I haven’t been in a bookstore in so long, and yesterday a friend of mine took me to one, and we spent a few hours walking around looking at books (I bought two, and a water), and then we set up and started shooting! I actually have come to enjoy public shooting, I like the weird stares I get and they questions I get. Two workers came up and asked me what I was doing, and then the MANAGER came and asked me what I was doing. I explained and they said it was okay and everything and then I just finished shooting and left! I’m super proud of this picture, and I’m so glad that I did it. It took about 5 hours to edit, and it’s made up of 28 different images. I’m so proud of this, I think my editing is flawless, but anyway, enough of me being selfish. I really hope you enjoy it! (:
[I did re-edit because I was severely unhappy with it. I still am, and will probably re-shoot this concept in the future.]
This one is based on a “myth/proverb/legend/etc.” whatever you want to call it.
It says that everyone is connected with a magical red thread and no matter how much that string tangles, stretches, or intersects with others; the two ends will always meet.
My mom and I both agree that this is definitely not one of my best pictures.
There’s something off about it that I wish I could pinpoint and change, but I don’t know what it is.
Although it’s a bit off, I really like it and I’ve wanted to do this picture for a long time.
Huge thanks to my close friend Dylan for helping me with this, it was a long walk there and back and taking the picture was a pain in the butt.
Tell me all your thoughts about it, please, and I do really hope you enjoy it, though it’s not my best.
First of all, it felt amazing to get back out and shoot today. I’m so sorry I’ve been away for so long.
Now, this picture was inspired by my best friend almost a month ago, and I just now got around to shooting it.
Though it is open to your interpretation, the way I see it, we’re all homeless. That’s what life is about; finding your home. I don’t mean some physical place you can run off to, I mean someone you can call up and take with you anywhere, because they make you happy. Someone who loves you for who you are, inside and out, and is always there for you. It’s the biggest challenge in life, especially when given so many facades and false homes. The outside may be beautiful, but you never know what life is like inside the house, right? Just because it’s a house, doesn’t mean it’s a home. Find your home. I’m working on finding mine.
This is my best friend Lauren, I’m sure you all recognize her. :D
She got her braces off a few days ago and so we went shooting!
I’m so sorry for not uploading, I’ve had so many ideas, but so little time! I’m sorry! I’ll be uploading more soon, I promise!!
We found this barn, and we explored a bit, and had to make due with a broken kit lens and natural lighting. While setting up, we heard voices, got scared, and hopped out the window (ripping my pants) before coming back and finding out it was just 2 middle schoolers trying to cut down the 50 foot tree, we’re silly.
The idea behind this is that we’re always surrounded by ideas, but we spend almost all of our time with our eyes closed. So in that way, it doesn’t matter how many lights we turn on, we’re left in the darkness of our own closed minds. Sometimes all you need is a look around, and you’ll have something new.
That was the really basic idea, I’m in a hurry so I’ll elaborate later, if you’d like!
Please enjoy!
